Jimi gets 61 years

  Olujimi “Jimi” Blakeney, 26, last week received the maximum sentence of sixty-one years and five months for his drive-by shooting in July 2010 that killed Lisa Melancon.

Large numbers of local educators are retiring; some concerned about looming pension cuts

    Nearly fifty staff members from the Bethel and Eatonville School Districts are retiring this year, and some claim it is due to fears that pensions will be cut by the Washington state legislature in the near future.
