WSP seeks assistence from public in recent crash on SR 410

The Mountain News has received the following request from the WSP, asking for witnesses to a recent crash on SR 410.

Washington State Patrol Seeks Additional Witnesses

The Washington State Patrol’s Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the three-vehicle fatality collision that occurred on May 3, 2013 at 5:44 a.m. on State Route 410 near milepost 12.  Detectives learned that a blue 2013 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling eastbound on 410 when the vehicle sideswiped the right side guardrail.  The pickup veered left striking and going over the raised Jersey barrier, then entered the westbound lanes where it collided with a gray 2002 Ford Focus.  Both vehicles were subsequently struck by a red 2004 Kenworth dump truck towing a dump trailer.  The truck and trailer were loaded with gravel. 

Detectives are seeking witnesses that may have seen any events leading to or the actual crash.  If you have any information or know someone who does, please contact Detective Sergeant Jerry Cooper at (360) 805-1192 or Detective Curt Ladines at (360) 805-1160.
