The Mountain News received this announcement today from the King County Sheriff’s Department. They are seeking the good Samaritan who anonymously returned Cossey’s driver’s licence, credit cards and a casino chit and offering them a $500 reward. In addition, $1,000 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest.

The King County Sheriff’s detectives are asking the ” good Samaritan” who mailed murder victim Earl Cossey’s license and credit cards to his house in Woodinville to come forward.
Detectives said family members had the victim’s mail forwarded to their house after his death and within a few days his license, credit cards and a casino gaming card were returned.
If you were the person who returned these items the King County SO detectives need to speak with you personally and you could be eligible to receive up to a $500.00 reward.

The King County Sheriffs’ Department is going to have to come clean on what they know regarding this case, if they expect the public to assist. Someone out there KNOWS who did this, but without some details provided they aren’t going to get much from the public. Were there signs of forced entry? Was the body moved from elsewhere and dumped in the garage? Was the house ramsacked and is anything missing? Was it a burglar? Does the KCSD have any theories at ALL? The truth is they haven’t provided anything publicly that might help solve the case, or even interest the public in looking at it. Where is the need for secrecy more than two weeks after the murder? I can understand withholding a detail or two, but this is bordering on ridiculous.
@Robert M. Blevins……..Considering it is an ongoing Homicide Investigation, It is important that Law Enforcement keep all specific details pertaining to the case under wraps……I am skeptical, and I am inclined to think that the murderer may be attempting to make it appear as if “it was a robbery in progress.” …… I think this murder has ties possibly to the Cooper case……..
I would urge all neighbours to report anything they may have seen, an individual, a vehicle, considering even the slightest bit of information could lead to identifiying the murderer of Mr. Earl Cossey…….this is truly an alarming scenario…….and I hope it is resolved soon……..
